What can be said about Thanksgiving that hasn’t already been said?
It’s our annual time of sanity when we push aside all of the stuff that we thought was important and discover once again…what’s really important.
This is a great holiday! It challenges us to rediscover the things that we should be truly thankful for!
Personal Blog Statement: I (gpawn) genuinely have so many things to be thankful for that I’m sure every year I must miss several blessings...simply because there are so many. I have a fantastic wife, beautiful kids and grandkids whose eyes burn bright with the fire of those who came before them. I have my health and I have the honor of being a part of Glendale Pawn and Jewelry. What more is there? Oh yeah…my not too bright dog…but that’s another story…
It’s a given that lots of people have more houses and cars than they know what to do with, money measured in cubic tons and they’re constantly on the go to one exotic locale or another. Guess what? When it comes down to what’s REALLY important…they’re not doing any better than I am!
Personal Observation: The people that I really feel sorry for this time of year are the people who annually declare that they don’t have anything to be thankful for, life is awful and somehow they’ve been singled out for everything bad to happen to them. Well, nobody has a perfect life. We all have challenges, adversity and things that make us shout out, “Oh no! Why me?”
Mandatory Business Pitch: If you need some fast, hassle-free cash to get you through these times, come see us for a pawn loan or turn some of that stuff that you never use anymore into cash. For example, laptop computers, designer purses, iPods, iPads, firearms and of course…jewelry.
Helpful Suggestion: But seriously, for those of you who think that you have nothing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, take some time to visit a V.A. Hospital and check into volunteering, stop by a homeless shelter and see what you can do to help or check in with the Humane Society and see if there’s some animals that could use your attention and love. It’s not hard to find things to be thankful for, no matter what your life is composed of. Trust us on this…
Finally, all of us here at Glendale Pawn and Jewelry are thankful for all of YOU! You come to our store and visit us! You stop by our website and do some online shopping at our E-Bay, Gunbroker and Amazon online stores, you read our blog (Which can be challenging sometimes) and when we put a smile on your face…it puts a smile on ours!
