2012, the Glendale Pawn and Jewelry Year in Review-
The Holiday season continues and since gpawn recently finished up the annual end of the year marketing report (Full of all kinds of numbers, statistics, projections and stuff…) we thought it might be fun to take a look back and remember all the fun we had here at the Pawn Shop in 2012 and also revisit some of the fun and memorable moments that occurred. There are a ton of highlights to choose from and quite honestly, we have fun everyday helping our customers with fast, hassle free cash loans. We also enjoy buying unneeded items like old gold jewelry, iPods and designer purses and also saving our shoppers 30% - 60% from retail prices on TONS of top quality merchandise. So as you can guess…there’s no shortage of fun material to draw upon.
Because there have been so many memorable moments during 2012, we thought we’d try to trim down all of them and put together a “Highlight Reel” (As they say in film-making…) so we don’t tie up the whole day reminiscing.
So…without further ado, here are a few moments and memories from 2012 that will stay with us for a LONG time:
Best Daily Occurrence-
This one is easy…watching people “Discover” Glendale Pawn and Jewelry. This is usually a process of, “I’ve been reading your blog, following your Facebook Page, saw ya’ll on television or a friend of mine keeps bragging about how much money she saves… (Fill in the blank)” and then they come through the door. It’s like suddenly a light comes on and they’re seeing that everything they’ve heard is true. The store IS spotlessly clean, bright and well organized. The staff is funny, friendly and fantastically helpful.

Oh wow, this has to be the production of our annual “Holiday Movie” in 2011 it was, You need to keep it local! This was a great deal of fun to produce and also a HUGE amount of work to finally get it to all come together in a timely manner:

For 2012 it was the genuine “Mega-Production” (by Pawn Shop film-making standards) of Glendale Pawn and Jewelry saves the Holiday! Paying homage to the silent films of the past, this elaborate production featured an artsy black and white look, genuine silent movie caption slides, “Santa on Elf” violence and the skinniest reindeer in film history. If you haven’t seen it yet…here’s your chance:
Biggest Celebrity Event-
Bill Engvall, Reno Collier and a film crew from The History Channel paid us a visit and filmed a location segment for the proposed series Back in my day. Sadly, the network decided not to immediately pursue the continued production of the series, but the fact remains that we were picked from multiple potential pawn shop film locations and for that we are extremely honored!

So, is this everything notable that occurred in 2012? Oh no…we haven’t even begun to touch upon all the great moments or even to begin to describe how honored we are to be of service to YOU and your family during this past year. We have however talked about it at length and we’ve come to the conclusion that there’s a single fundamental reason that we’re excited about every new day here at Glendale Pawn and Jewelry.
So what’s the reason for all of this?
Quite simply it’s because…”We’re glad you’re here.”
